Social Status x Reebok

I was commissioned by Social Status to design their contribution to the Reebok Instapump 20th Anniversary collection.  Social Status wanted to give a nod to the return of the NBA Hornets to Charlotte.

I deconstructed the idea of the hornets and did a turquoise blue honeycomb from a real hornets nest and made a repeat pattern for it.  I then wanted to bring in a precious stone so I went with amethyst.  I put a couple of hornets on top of the amethyst to lend a little depth to the pattern and to the idea of the Charlotte Hornets inspiration.

The inside shoe liner had a "dailydoodle" style maze with my name incorporated in it along side the Social Status logo.
